Summer calls for hanging in hammocks or lounging by pools with a great book. Here’s what’s topping our warm-weather reading lists:

Grace: I just finished “Book Lovers” by Emily Henry, and I’m eager to dig into her new novel “Happy Place” later this summer. Henry is a Cincinnati-based author, and her rom-coms are always great “Beach Reads.”

Jackie: “Happy Place” by Cincinnati-native Emily Henry is first on my list.

Stacy: I can’t wait to dive into “The Testaments,” Margaret Atwood’s sequel to “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Laura: I just finished reading “Verity” by Colleen Hoover. Well, I finished the original book more than a month ago but just got my hands on the “extended version.” I’m disturbed, but I’m also intrigued enough to read a few more Colleen Hoover books this summer.

Karen: I recently re-read Donna Tartt’s riveting thriller “The Secret History,” and now I’m inspired to re-read her critically acclaimed “The Little Friend” and Pulitzer-winning “The Goldfinch.” My Tartt revival was inspired by the fascinating 14-part podcast “Once Upon a Time … at Bennington College,” which explores the years when three future literary superstars — Tartt, Bret Easton Ellis and Jonathan Lethem — were college classmates.
