Karen Bells

Director of Executive Communications

You can trust her with your business …

“Nosy” is such a harsh word. But “curious” … doesn’t that have a nice ring to it? Karen may have been told by a person or two — parents, teachers, nuns, dates, neighbors — that she sure asks a lot of questions. That natural curiosity led her to a 20-year career as a news reporter and editor, where the “who, what, where, when, why and how” were just the beginning of her inquiries.

With her journalist’s curiosity in tow, she helps clients determine where they are and where they’d like to be, then crafts and delivers on a plan to get there. Her specialties include media relations, communications strategy and content creation for clients in the public transportation, nonprofit and financial services industries.

… and you’ll want to hang out with her, too.

Karen likes to ask, “Why?” But she also likes to ask, “Why not?” Whether it’s taking a spontaneous road trip, learning to co-pilot a small plane or interviewing a rock star, she’ll usually embrace it with, “Why not?!” And if you need a concert buddy, she’s seen everyone from Aretha Franklin to Zac Brown Band and every alphabet letter in between.
