Although we have mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day around the Vehr office, we all agree that it inspires some of our best playlists.
Laura: It feels like Valentine’s Day every day in the Phillips house as Lionel Richie Radio is my husband’s go-to streaming channel. Whether it’s a lazy day by the pool, a road trip or a workout soundtrack, it’s “Endless Love” … all day and “All Night Long (All Night).”
Grace: One of my all-time favorite love-themed albums is Aretha Franklin’s “I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You.” Whether you’re crying over an ex or falling head over heels, there’s a song on this album for you.
Nick: It’s not necessarily a love song, but it sure makes me happy when I hear it. May we all have plenty of “Days Like This.”
Karen: I never get tired of listening to the song “I Melt With You” by Modern English – on repeat – on Valentine’s Day. Doesn’t matter if I’m in a relationship or not, have a romantic date that day or not, am feeling “rainbows and butterflies” or “why bother?!” about romance. It always reminds me of that first blush of love, as captured in the underrated ‘80s classic teen movie “Valley Girl.”
Sarah: Ever hear a song and think it’s so sweet? “Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop” by Landon Pigg is a beautiful, innocent love song that’s sure to give you the warm fuzzies.
Jackie: “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” by Stevie Wonder is the song for all occasions, including Valentine’s Day.
