In our new monthly feature, Vehr team members share the things they’re loving — from apps to playlists, games to movies and more. This month, Counselor Stacy Delk shares how she’s going retro for the summer:
Vinyl: A gift of a few old records has inspired me to dust off the old player and start building a fun collection. My family has been flipping through crates of vinyl at antique stores, stopping by local record shops (a cool find, Spiral Groove Records in Old Milford) and checking out the new selection at Target. Current favorite: “Moondance,” by Van Morrison.
Feel-good streaming: It started with an after-dinner viewing of “Gilmore Girls” during summer 2020, when everything was upside down. That led to revisiting old episodes of “The Office,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Parenthood,” and now, two years later, we’re back to the comfort of Stars Hollow, the fictional Connecticut town where the “Gilmore” protagonists live.
Pinterest: Not entirely old, but definitely not new. This summer, I am committing to make a few — let’s say two or three — of the hundreds of recipes I’ve saved over the past years. First one down, homemade ranch dressing using herbs from the garden.
