Melodic Connections has been selected to receive our 2017 Vehr Cares grant, worth up to $25,000 in integrated communications and marketing services.
The Vehr Cares program, launched in March to coincide with our 10th anniversary, partners the Vehr team with area nonprofits and provides them with support.
“We have a lot of heart and passion for what we do,” said Betsey Zenk Nuseibeh, executive director of Melodic Connections. “We are proud to have been selected to partner with Vehr, and we are excited to work with them to bring more awareness to the amazing things Melodic Connections is doing in the community.”
Melodic Connections is a community music therapy studio providing services to all ages and abilities. The non-profit organization was founded in 2008 by Zenk Nuseibeh, a board-certified music therapist and special educator.
In addition to low-cost afternoon and adult programs, Melodic Connections offers Music in the Schools, an academic and social skills-based music therapy program based in 24 area public schools at no cost to the school. Through partnerships with Visionaries + Voices and Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, the organization also provides six one-week camp experiences throughout the summer.
“Their passion is genuine. Their need is real,” said Nick Vehr, Vehr’s CEO. “What they do matters to many people in our community, and it makes a difference.”
Each year, Vehr will donate up to $50,000 in professional service time to two nonprofit organizations, in addition to the team’s community volunteer work, Vehr also supports the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation.
