Our team is growing, and we’re excited to welcome Sarah Cook as the newest member of the Vehr team. Sarah joins us as an account executive. Get to know Sarah below, in her own words:
Where’d you go to college and what was your major?
I am a proud graduate of Xavier University, where I studied communication arts/electronic media.
What’s your favorite social media channel?
Facebook. It is a great way to stay connected – whether it is keeping up with friends and family, both near and far, or learning about the latest news, events and happenings around town.
I would be remiss not to mention that Snapchat gets pulled up on my phone quite a bit by my niece. She greatly enjoys what she calls the “puppy dog” filter. I credit her with keeping me young.
What are some your favorite activities outside of work?
Aunthood is, by far, one of my favorite roles in life. It is not uncommon to find me spending time with my niece and twin nephews outside of the office.
I love to have my dog, Roxy Darlin’, by my side whenever and wherever possible. She is a Bichon/Shih Tzu mix. She keeps me on my toes and is as sweet as pie.
The gym is a regular stop amid my weekly routine. Cardio, weights, you name it – it keeps me grounded.
Oh, and if the Beach Boys are ever performing in or around town, you will certainly spot me at the show. That is a given.
What’s your favorite part of Cincinnati?
When I think of Cincinnati, I think of family – one of the most important things in life. This city is where I was born and raised. It is home and I am thankful to have the people that I love the most here with me. So, family, hands down is my favorite part about our beautiful town.
What is the most recent film you’ve seen?
I watch a lot of Netflix, a lot. So, my recent film list is rather endless. With that said, the last movie I saw in an actual theater was The Greatest Showman. It gave me goosebumps. I am a sucker for a good musical.
Any other talents we should know about?
I can braid palm. It’s a skill that my grandpa taught me later in life. It takes a lot of time and a lot of patience.
What’s one app you can’t live without?
EveryDollar, for sure. It keeps me, and my budget, organized.
What media outlets do you follow on a regular basis? Why those ones?
I plug into Cincinnati.com and all the local TV station websites on a regular basis. Keeping up with the latest news in town and who is covering what – well, it is in my blood. It is the former TV “newsie” in me.
