It’s always exciting to welcome a new intern, and Vehr Communications is happy to have Xavier University senior Sophia Duff on board.
Sophia brings a variety of experiences to her internship and is thrilled to be adding more real-world skills to her professional arsenal. A big fan of the power of social media, she’s tapping the principles learned in one of her favorite classes, social marketing, to help Vehr support client accounts. She also loves film, video and the technology and strategy behind them. Some of her favorite internship experiences so far include participating in and helping to plan on-location filming for several campaigns and events.
She became interested in learning more about the complexity of brands during an advanced brand-building class at Xavier, which gave her the opportunity to help support national beverages brand Sazerac Co. As she interacts with a variety of leading brands at Vehr, she’s especially enjoying exposure to great design concepts, the chance to better understand what an effective communications campaign looks like and the day-to-day lessons in business principles and priorities.
A liberal arts major with a concentration in marketing and minors in sociology and gender and diversity studies, Sophia brings curiosity and enthusiasm to every project. Her love of reading, creative writing and understanding audiences’ motivations help her create work that has an impact.
Sophia is a native of Maryland, just minutes outside of Washington, D.C., and has created a lifetime of memories during summers spent in New Hampshire.
Vehr is looking forward to seeing not only what Sophia can learn from her internship, but also what we can learn from her enthusiasm and desire to make a difference.
