Delhi Township

Delhi Towne Square Brand and Marketing

Delhi Township, a suburban community in Southwest Ohio with a population of approximately 30,000, partnered with Vehr Communications to market the new Delhi Towne Square. A first-of-its-kind public-private partnership, this $70-million, mixed-use development features 180 fully leased apartment units at Veridian Delhi: the state-of-the-art Delhi Athletic Club; and the Delhi Event Center, which includes an art gallery, teaching kitchen, computer lab, rentable spaces and more. The development also houses Township offices and preschool classrooms for the Oak Hills Local School District and features The Lawn, a nearly one-acre community gathering space with a performance stage and bar.

Vehr created the brand identity for the new development and, in collaboration with the Township, developed communications, creative and engagement strategies for generating awareness and excitement among community members for this remarkable asset.

In addition to supporting the groundbreaking and steel-topping ceremonies and organizing hard hat tours for local media prior to the opening, Vehr helped drive communications surrounding the ribbon cutting. We identified stakeholders and channels for outreach; designed invitations, social media graphics and the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) logo and signage; drafted articles for the Delhi Dispatch newsletter, social media updates and event remarks; and managed event photography.

We also led all media relations for the grand opening, including sending news alerts and facilitating on-site media interviews. We also helped secure Local 12 Anchor Bob Herzog as the event emcee and prepared his talking points.

The WIN
The Delhi Towne Square grand opening attracted hundreds of community members throughout the day, generating substantial foot traffic to the new development. Additionally, the event garnered extensive media coverage, securing over 20 local news placements with a total reach of approximately 5.2 million.
