Prior to its acquisition by Concentrix, Convergys thanked its employees for their contributions annually on Employee Appreciation Day (EAD). A global celebration in which the company invested significantly — in both campaign asset creation and employee activities and entertainment — the day even included hosting a private concert in the Philippines with the country’s hottest pop star.
Vehr was asked to explore ways to build upon the “Celebrating YOU” theme through the creation of an EAD toolkit, which included an EAD logo, digital/social media assets, video, environmental collateral, customizable templates and thematic activity recommendations to engage employees.
The chosen concept, “Celebrating all that YOU do,” was designed to thank and reward individual employees but also underscore that EAD celebrates teamwork and the wonderful experiences Convergys employees help to create. The logo utilized the dots from the Convergys logo to make a firework motif, and confetti was interspersed throughout the design to create a fun, celebratory vibe.
Images of employees were used throughout the campaign. Posters were developed for locations around the world, utilizing associates who reflected each respective region. The campaign video relied on team photos and demonstrated the breadth and diversity of the Convergys team. Each associate was encouraged to become part of the campaign by uploading images in the EAD photo frame created for Facebook.
The EAD campaign united 130,000 employees across hundreds of locations and dozens of cultures around a common theme.
