Ed Burghard

P&G, Harley Procter Marketer (ret.)

Ed spent 33 years with Procter & Gamble. He retired in 2009. In 1999, he was named a Harley Procter Marketer, a distinction reserved for the P&G’s top three global marketers. After leaving P&G, Ed served under three Ohio governors as the leader of the Ohio Business Development Coalition that was responsible for branding the state for global capital investment attraction. He led the creation of the first ever Ohio brand and national campaign targeted to C-level executives. Ed established the Burghard group in 2009 to introduce the Strengthening Brand America Project, a community practice to catalyze and transfer private sector product and corporate branding best practices to improve the competitiveness of states and communities for attracting capital investment.
