Cirque du Soleil

Media Relations and Promotions

It’s not easy to impress the largest theatrical producer in the world, but Vehr has managed to do so with Cirque du Soleil again and again.

Cirque du Soleil has leaned on Vehr to support 10 traveling productions over the last decade, from “Corteo” and “Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour” to “Axel” and “Crystal,” its first show to combine high-level ice skating with its jaw-dropping acrobatics and stunts.

Vehr’s deep relationships with local journalists have resulted in plentiful coverage for Cirque’s shows — when the dates are announced, during the buildup to the visit, throughout the local run of the production and even after the cast and crew depart.

Vehr also has created many memorable promotions, marketing events and partner tie-ins worthy of this internationally renowned troupe. We’ve lined up several Cirque-themed sundaes with beloved Cincinnati ice cream maker Graeter’s. We’ve worked with high-end restaurants to roll out custom cocktails. We’ve created show-themed coffee sleeves to adorn to-go cups at popular java retailers.

And we’ve woven the tale of Cirque shows throughout the fabric of Cincinnati and Dayton. That has included promotional videos towering high above Fountain Square on the giant city LED screen, as well as playing on TV screens in the waiting areas of popular parking garages. We’ve escorted costumed performers throughout the cities to spread the word — juggling on the streets of Dayton, riding the Cincinnati streetcar, wowing the lunch crowd at Findlay Market, performing a jaw-dropping ice skating routine at the Fountain Square rink, or popping up along the riverfront for photo opportunities.

The WIN
Media coverage and show attendance have been consistently high when Cirque comes to town, and the promotional tie-ins and marketing events have wowed journalists and audiences alike.
