Cirque du Soleil

Media Relations and Promotions

It’s not easy to impress the largest theatrical producer in the world, but Vehr has managed to do it well enough to keep Cirque du Soleil coming back again and again.

Cirque du Soleil has leaned on Vehr to support 10 traveling productions over the last eight years, from “Corteo” and “Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour” to “Quidam” and “Crystal,” its first show to combine high-level ice skating with its jaw-dropping acrobatics and stunts.

Vehr’s deep relationships with local journalists results in plentiful coverage for Cirque’s shows – including when the date is announced, during the buildup to the visit, throughout the local run of the production and even after the cast and crew depart.

Vehr also makes sure there are plenty of promotions, marketing events and partner tie-ins worthy of this troupe. We’ve lined up several Cirque sundaes with beloved Cincinnati ice cream maker Graeter’s. We’ve worked with high-end restaurants to roll out custom cocktails. We’ve created show-themed coffee sleeves to adorn to-go cups at popular java retailers.

And we weave the tale of a Cirque show throughout the fabric of Cincinnati and Dayton. You’ll see promotional videos towering high above Fountain Square on the giant city LED screen, as well as playing on TV screens in the waiting areas of popular parking garages. You’ll see us leading costumed performers throughout the cities to spread the word — from juggling on Dayton streets to riding the Cincinnati streetcar, wowing the lunch crowd at Findlay Market or popping up along the riverfront for photo opportunities.

The WIN
Media coverage and show attendance are consistently high when Cirque comes to town, and the promotional tie-ins and marketing events wow the locals and keep the Montreal-based performance company coming back.
