When I was growing up, green bean casserole was a staple on our dinner table every Thanksgiving and Christmas. My late grandpa was the one who prepared our holiday meals. And he was quite the cook. Unfortunately, he did not pass on those skills to me! Lucky for me, green bean casserole is easy to make and my family typically requests it as my “contribution” to our holiday meals each year.
Green Bean Casserole (recipe courtesy French’s)
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup milk
- 4 cups of green beans
- 1 ⅓ cups of crispy fried onions (I use French’s)
- Cheddar cheese (optional)
Add ingredients to a baking dish. Sprinkle with crispy fried onions and cheese (optional). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
