The Vehr team hit up Graeter’s on Fountain Square recently.

Cincinnati is a great place to live no matter the time of year, but our summer fun to do list proves why it’s an especially great place to be right now.

Our Vehr team shares what we plan to cross off our summer bucket list before those back-to-school ads start rolling:

Visiting the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden during the summer is a must for Cincinnatians and tourists alike. Whether you want to check in on that famous baby hippo, or just experience some cool animal encounters, the zoo is always a fun place for a Cincinnati adventure. – Sarah Sampson

I’m taking creative license with the word “summer,” as the next City Flea dates on the calendar are technically considered “fall.” But, I’d love to make it to Washington Park in August, September or October for Cincinnati’s original urban flea market. I haven’t been yet this year, and there are always great finds! – Molly Ryan

My go-to summer item is to have dinner on the river at The Ludlow-Bromley Yacht Club & The Lagoon Saloon. Perfect way to spend a (not too humid) evening. Pepper Peale

As soon we heard REO Speedwagon was going to be at Red, White and Blue Ash on July 4, we started prepping our three teens by repeatedly playing their greatest hits in the car, especially while on vacation. By the time of the free concert, they were pretty well-versed in ‘80s classics. (We did the same with Styx in 2016.) It was a beautiful night, the fabulous Summit Park was packed, and a good time was had by all. – Michael Perry

Riverbend is THE place to see a concert in the summer … At least once, so it’s definitely on my bucket list. Also, can you say you live in Cincinnati if you haven’t been to a Reds game? I don’t think so. I may have been to a few, but it’s still on my summer bucket list. Mikayla Williams

I’d say my favorite summer activity is enjoying our backyard. My husband has been working hard to redo it, and he just finished constructing a pond and adding fish to our household count. Darcy Schwass

Experiencing a few Reds games with my favorite super fan. Stacy Stufft

Not a beer flight, but a Kombucha flight! I tried Fab Ferments out in Lockland. The Pineapple Cilantro Jalapeno is definitely for the adventurous. I also get to see my favorite band on August 2, Tegan and Sara. Suzanne Buzek

I won’t tell you just how often we visit the OTR Holtman’s Donut Shop, but my almost three-year-old daughter has made friends with several of the staff so it’d be fair to call us regulars. Our Saturday routine is to get donuts and then hit the splash pad in Washington Park. As my daughter says, it’s always “the best day ever!” – Lindsay Horan
