I am extremely excited for the future of Vehr Communications. In just a few weeks, our company will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Stay tuned for more about this.
A couple of our company’s goals last year were to lay the foundation for the next decade and continue to underscore our commitment to being a long-term, strategic partner to our clients.
You can read the announcement below, and learn a little more about these two fantastic professionals. They are proven leaders, a big part of our past success and foundational to our continued growth.
I will become CEO of the company and, in time, will be able to concentrate even more on the strategic opportunities that will enable our continued growth.
Here’s to our new president, our new partners and all of our new opportunities.

Laura Phillips Named President of Vehr Communications
Phillips and Michael Perry Added as Partners
Cincinnati (OH) – January 11, 2017: On the eve of the company’s 10th anniversary in March, Laura Phillips has been named president of Vehr Communications by company founder Nick Vehr, who will retain the title of chief executive officer. Phillips and Michael Perry, the agency’s vice president of content strategy, were added as partners in Vehr Communications.
Phillips has been a communications professional for more than 15 years, most recently as the agency’s vice president of client services. A graduate of the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, Phillips began her career at Dan Pinger Public Relations, once Cincinnati’s largest PR agency and where she first worked with then-agency vice president Nick Vehr, before joining Vehr Communications in 2008.
“Laura is a strong leader, experienced communicator and trusted advisor to clients and colleagues. She has successfully partnered with dozens of organizations – regionally, nationally and across the globe – to build, protect and advance brands,” Vehr said. “Laura sees the big picture and worries about the details. Her strong work ethic and understanding of integrated communications are ideal for the future of Vehr Communications.”
“I am very proud to be part of such a great team and the meaningful work that we do for our clients and this community,” Phillips said. “I look forward to increasing my leadership role in growing Vehr Communications.”
Perry joined Vehr Communications in 2010 after a 25-year career in Gannett Company, including 17 years at The Cincinnati Enquirer. Perry also graduated from UC, is an adjunct professor there and is graduate of Leadership Cincinnati’s Class 36.
Vehr said, “As we prepare to enter our second decade as an integrated communications agency, I am excited at the prospect of Laura’s continued and growing leadership and her and Michael’s partnership. My role will not change. I will
continue to work with our clients and colleagues as we approach our anniversary and beyond.”
